Ekhator completes Juventus switch from Genoa
Juventus have made their first signing under new director Giovanni Carnevali, with talented teenager Jeff Ekhator joining from Genoa.
Juventus have completed the signing of Jeff Ekhator from fellow Serie A side Genoa for a reported €16m transfer fee, plus bonuses.
Ekhator, who recently made his debut for the Italian national team against Greece, has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at Juventus until 2031.
The 19-year-old becomes the first signing under new Juventus director Giovanni Carnevali, and will link up with Luciano Spalletti's side next season.
During his time at Genoa, Ekhator made 57 appearances in all competitions, though only 16 came from the start, while scoring five goals and providing one assist.
Along with new Juventus team-mate Kenan Yildiz (71), Ekhator (54) is the youngest player to appear at least 50 times in Serie A over the last two campaigns.
He was also called up to Italy's national team by interim boss Silvio Baldini, and registered an assist for Francesco Pio Esposito in a 1-0 win over Greece in a friendly last month.
Ekhator is Juventus' third signing this summer, after Lois Openda and Jeremie Boga both made their loan moves from last season permanent with the Serie A giants.
His arrival comes after Giorgio Chiellini revealed that striker Dusan Vlahovic would leave Juventus on a free transfer this summer.
Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Barcelona and Arsenal are all reportedly interested in signing Vlahovic, who scored 50 goals in Serie A for Juventus.
