Brentford missed the chance to move above Chelsea in the Premier League table, as a superb Bernd Leno save saw them held to a 0-0 draw with Fulham.

Keith Andrews' side have now drawn their last five matches in the Premier League, with the teams below them having the chance to keep the pressure on in the race for Europe.

Brentford started strong and could have opened the scoring just 10 minutes in, but Igor Thiago's thumping header hit the outside of the right post.

Ryan Sessegnon blazed Fulham's best first-half opening over the crossbar, while Keane Lewis-Potter did the same at the other end after a clever drag back.

Dango Ouattara fired a pacy shot at Leno as Brentford continued to pile the pressure on after the break, while Harry Wilson's clearest chance was squared across goal and out for a throw-in at the other end.

The game sprung into life in the final five minutes, with Lewis-Potter's header hitting Thiago before Ouattara slid in to poke a shot on goal, though Leno made a stunning fingertip stop to deny him and ensure Fulham did not leave the Gtech Community Stadium empty-handed.

Brentford stay seventh, now level on points with Chelsea, who play Manchester United later on Saturday. Fulham remain 12th, three points behind them.

In a game where Fulham failed to muster a single shot on target, they were lucky that Leno was in sparkling form with a Save of the Season contender in the 90th minute.

They had 10 attempts overall (worth 0.74 expected goals), and this is the first time they have failed to hit the target in a Premier League away game since April 2023 (v Aston Villa).

Fulham have now won just one of their last eight top-flight away games (D3 L4), with only 35.6% of their points this season coming on the road (16/45 points).

As for Brentford, they have drawn all four of their home games against fellow London sides in the Premier League this term, making them one of only two teams yet to win a home London derby in 2025-26 (along with West Ham).
